I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and like many of us, my ancestors came from Europe looking for opportunities in this magnificent land.
On my mother’s side, I have Spain and French blood, and on my father’s side, swiss and french also.

Since I was a child, I have heard that Argentines were a mixture of Europeans living in South America. Of course there are many other Argentines who are originally from here, and this is the reason why our culture is so diverse, full of nuances  and very difficult to pigeonhole.

“Argentines are always looking towards the old continent,” was something I have heard all my life, and to which I did not give too much importance, until I began to paint.
It was incredible; genes surfaced in me in an unexpected way, there were they, expectant, waiting, patients.

Uncles, grandparents, parents, cousins, siblings, there were artists everywhere. I always have heard from them, some I knew, and others I didn’t, but here they are, being part of me and I being part of them. The discovery was magical, and now I find myself, sharing through painting, so many things with them. And I must confess, that most of my great inspirers have been born, long ago and on the other side of the Atlantic…
